Anti-Stress Glacial Facial
Designed by skyn ICELAND founder and president Sarah Kugelman, in collaboration with celebrated New York City-based aesthetician Andrea DeSimone, whose professional credits include Jo Malone and the Susan Ciminelli Day Spa at Bergdorf Goodman, the skyn ICELAND Anti-Stress Glacial Facial incorporates effleurage massage and lymphatic drainage techniques to minimize puffiness and help flush stress-related toxins from skin. Beyond the face, special attention is given to the body's other key pressure points in the feet, hands, scalp, neck and shoulders.
The skyn ICELAND™ Anti-Stress Glacial Facial stimulates all five senses, through a combination of nurturing and therapeutic massage techniques, warming and cooling product applications, soothing music and balancing aroma. The goal is to gently ease clients out of their heads, transporting them to a place of inner peace and whole body harmony, beginning the process of re-balancing the skin's vital elements that stress has depleted.
A distinguishing feature is the use of colored-glass globes — in green, blue and purple — that when chilled and lightly rolled over the occipital lobe around the eyes, as well as the forehead, cheeks and chin, cool down the face, helping to reduce redness, irritation and inflammation, while providing toning and pore-tightening properties. The three colors, chosen for their cooling properties (green to arouse compassion, health and creativity; blue to invoke purity and serenity; and purple to transform and heal), can be used together or singularly based on a client's individual skincare needs.
